The best Mario game ever made just got even better. By Ramin Ostad After spending a ridiculous number of hours, days, and months with Super MarioGalaxy, I made the bold claim (to no one in particular) that it was undeniably the best 3D Mario game to date, and arguably the single best Mario game period. Nintendo turned the platforming genre on its head, quite literally, messing with time, ... more.

This much-anticipated, oft-delayed project from Remedy delivers an engaging and haunting next-gen experience By Anthony Bacchus Having been in development for five-odd years and encountering numerous delays, Alan Wake is a long time coming from the makers of Max Payne.  Most games with such a lengthy amount of development time can create a lot of worry among fans. With such an ambitious pro... more.

Japan's biggest franchise hits North America and the call goes out to hunters... By Cory Satermo Enter Monster Hunter Tri, a world of enormous creatures and big ass weapons. The story may be light but the idea is simple. You are a hunter and your job is too well, hunt monsters. You take on quests, gather supplies, craft new weapons and gear and collect spoils from the hunt. That’s pret... more.

Here comes a new challenger, for better or worse By Ramin Ostad It's no secret that I'm a Street Fighter nut. When I was a kid, my dad and I would go swimming at Kinsmen Sports Centre, and as if part of some unspoken tradition, he would take me to Fuddruckers, back when Edmonton had one. Besides the delicious burgers and enormous cookies they used to serve, the one thing that made me fal... more.

Play the videogame before you see the movie. On second thought, maybe you shouldn't. I feel bad for developers sometimes. With so much competition in the gaming industry these days, it's getting harder and harder to differentiate your game from the rest of the pack. Developers are often times tied down to one franchise and sometimes aren't given the freedom to explore other genre's or ideas. Ot... more.
  • Splinter Cell: Conviction Review

    2 CommentsPosted by M. Dykstra & A. Bacchus on April 13, 2010 under Articles, Reviews, Xbox360
Conviction succeeds on it's promise of redefining stealth, but it may not be for everyone By Matthew Dykstra and Anthony Bacchus Emerging from the shadows after almost four years in hiding, Ubisoft has done the unthinkable by rebooting Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, and guess what? It pays off tenfold. Conviction, even with it's flaws and cracks, is a benchmark game in the stealth genre and ... more.

Follow Kratos as he Slices, Dices and dare I say 'Sexifies' the Gods of Olympus. By Matthew Dykstra God of War remains the Playstation's most definitive action series between both the PS2 and PS3 and Sony's Santa Monica's God of War III doesn't dissapoint in upholding that title. Kratos simply is one of the most fun and engaging video game characters in recent memory. The former Greek God and ... more.
